Patricia A. Long is the passionate founder and visionary behind Uni’Que Basket Giving Corporation (UBGC) , a Detroit‑rooted nonprofit dedicated to uplifting seniors, children, families, and unhoused neighbors through dignity‑centered, mobile outreach. Her work is fueled by compassion, social justice, and a deep commitment to restoring hope in underserved communities.

Patricia holds an MBA in Finance and a BA in Human Resource Management, bringing strong academic and professional expertise to her leadership. Her earlier career includes owning and operating a child development program with a ZA Endorsement and serving as a Literacy Coach for the Oak Park School District—reflecting a lifelong dedication to education, empowerment, and community advancement.

As a 7‑year cancer survivor, wife, mother, grandmother, and servant‑leader, Patricia approaches every initiative with resilience, purpose, and heart. Her diverse background equips her to design innovative programs that meet real needs with excellence and compassion.

Under Patricia’s leadership, UBGC has launched impactful initiatives such as the UBGC Community & Mobile Food Pantry with a Reading Garden for Kids, the In the “D” Freeshop, and Wrapped in Warmth – Snacks on the go! Seniors, Books, Bears & Big Hugs, The Caiden D. Rush Foundation, Smiles 4KIDS, and the Legacy Library. Each program
reflects her belief that every person—elderly, youth, or unhoused —deserves dignity, support, and the opportunity to thrive.
Patricia continues to inspire the community through her unwavering dedication, spreading love, kindness, and legacy one outreach at a time.
