At Uni’Que Basket Giving Corporation (UBGC), our Board of Directors provides the vision, integrity, and leadership that guide our

mission forward. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rooted in Metro Detroit, we are dedicated to uplifting seniors, children, families, and unhoused

neighbors through programs that restore dignity, spark joy, and strengthen community connection.

UBGC operates a growing network of outreach initiatives designed to meet people where they are:

• Comforting Seniors – delivering blankets, comfort items, and compassionate support to seniors in underserved facilities

• Smiles 4Kids & Caiden’s Legacy – literacy‑centered outreach that encourages reading, creativity, and emotional wellness for children

• In the “D” Freeshop – a mobile pop‑up offering free clothing, hygiene items, and essentials with dignity and respect

• Mobile Food Pantry & Reading Garden 4 Kids – nourishing families while promoting literacy and community engagement

• Legacy Library – curated book bundles that inspire imagination, confidence, and lifelong learning

 

Our Board ensures that every UBGC program reflects our core belief: Kindness, dignity, and community can transform lives.
