📘 Literacy Learners — August 4th Session 

On August 4th, Literacy Learners welcomed

25 enthusiastic learners for a hands‑on, creativity‑focused literacy experience.

🏖️ Theme: Sand

Learners explored reading, imagination, and sensory learning through a sand‑themed session.

🎨 Project: Build & Create Sand Designs

Children designed and built their own creative sand structures, practicing:

• Fine‑motor skills

• Creative expression

• Following directions

• Storytelling about their creations

 

📖 Read‑Aloud Book

We enjoyed the engaging story: The Sandcastle That Lola Built by Megan Maynor (Author) & Kate Berube (Illustrator)

Learners connected the book’s teamwork and creativity to their own sand projects.

 

🍎 Snacks & Take‑Home Bundles

• Snacks were served

• Each learner received a Snack Bag

• Every child took home a Read & Create Literacy Bundle to continue learning at home
